Lake “Chavey”, a local Athabascan word for “fish” or “Arctic Grayling”, is a private lake and one of the newest wonders of the Denali Park area and Alaska. A crazy idea started by Kirk Martakis in 1998 has evolved into a fishery that you wouldn’t believe unless you saw it. Through controlling and limiting access, catch and release practices, habitat enhancement, feeding and a lot of luck, we have created a world class Trophy fishing experience that truly is a little “Disneyland”, but, man it is a lot of fun!
