I spend a lot of time cruising around the wilderness I call home. Tanner and I, the other day, got out on the Nenana River on our snowgos, first tracks on the river ice since freeze up....it was good going and we got further than we thought we would. We found this poor guy, who had fallen though the ice, and looked like to me, got one side of his antlers under the ice and could not get it out.....life in the wilds of Alaska! It took us about 2 hrs of chainsawing through the ice to get this out....another 8 hrs of skinning, boiling, cleaning and next year it will grace one of our new rentals

Born in New York, came to Alaska in 1979 and have never looked back. Been a great wild ride, now at 57 yrs old, these are my thoughts.
