I am sure happy to share what I have learned about making our own energy and living more in tune with the earth. Feel free to arrange a 'GOING GREEN TOUR' ($15 per person) or contact me at 907 768 2620 to get into our 'buying group' to get the best prices in Alaska. When I pass on to the next worlds, I would be real happy to be remembered as the 'Costco of alternative energy in Alaska'.
Just got back from Anchorage with another pallet of solar panels. Solarworld 235 watt panels, USA made, really nice and I do not intend to use all of them so THESE ARE FOR SALE TOO. Get in on this wholesale bulk pricing for the best prices in Alaska. I think everyone should be putting these up and learning to get your energy from somewhere else besides the "black tars from the bowels of the earth" and look upwards to the heavens for our need for extra energy.
Riding up the Nenana River on the ice, these fat bike sure are awesome! 1 year into this and these bikes are my most used outdoor toy. Not much daylight now, but come summer, we will enjoy 24 hours!
Sure am glad that Trout Unlimited has acknowledged in a pretty big way that climate change is REAL in this past issue of their magazine, BUT, let us be realistic......ultimately there is no living with changing climate like we are continuing to release..... 95 % of all wild fish and animals will be gone in just a few years, we are all seeing this happening already. The changes from year to year will become more and more dramatic each passing year. Most of the human population and our farmed plants and animals will be more resilient but will ultimately succumb to the unstable climate we are releasing each day by burning more and more fossil fuels. THERE IS ONLY ONE PROPER AND ETHICAL RESPONSE..... WE ALL NEED TO START CUTTING BACK ON THE AMOUNT OF FUEL WE USE EACH DAY. Think about it.... if we all stopped traveling by airplanes, lets say, and we, as consumers, said we won't start traveling again till the industry gives us a clean, fossil fuel free way to travel....I am sure that it would not take our highly intelligent and inventive industrial leaders to give us CLEAN FOSSIL FREE TRAVEL OPTIONS. Even a little unimportant humble fishing business we have here is planning, hopefully this coming summer, to buy and put into service an electric van or car to do our courtesy transportation for our angling guests from the big hotels, that will be powered by our solar panels each day. My biggest hope for the world is that everyone else starts making this a priority in their lives too.
Back in 1995 and 96, we worked with George Klucky to produce a 1.5 hour video of the hunts we offered. It came out real nice and I just got it transferred to digital as we shot it on 16 mm reel to reel Here is a link to watch and enjoy it too! Horseback Hunting with Denali Wilderness Outfitters and Kirk Martakis
Michael Faircloth from Utah just got here after driving up the Alaska highway and within 5 minutes of starting a simple hike to the river out back he found this, WOW!
It is past time for everyone to rally, act and live in a moral and ethical way with everything and everyone in their hearts and minds. It is time to denounce hatred, selfishness and contempt. These two men are the spearheads of such a movement, and I love them both for what they are trying to do, and all my hope for the future lies with them.
Bernie Sanders meets with Pope Francis you tube video
20 years of hard work, management that everyone said would not work, and thinking about what would be best for these fish, on top of having to say "no, you can't keep any fish, because....."
I have never been political, at 57 years old, I have never voted, but if Bernie is on the ticket, I will register and vote. I have never supported financially to a campaign, but I sent Bernie $50, and will send more. IT IS TIME FOR MAJOR CHANGE TOWARDS COMPASSION, SOUND GOVERNMENT FOR THE PEOPLE! .........I just have to say what I feel even though I know it is hurting my business, but this is much bigger than my business.
If you are interested in my thoughts, I have continued this blog on this Facebook page- I hope I can add inspiration to your life.
This is what one wants to see after the yearly 'let's get some fish for our next year' dip netting subsistence trip to the Copper River!
