Fly-Fish Lake Chavey
Flyfish our exclusive Private Lake, managed for trophy class Arctic Grayling and Rainbow Trout. Catch and Release Only. Many trips to choose from whether you stay with us or not.
Lake “Chavey”, a local athabaskan word for “fish” or “Arctic Grayling”, is a private lake and one of the newest wonders of the Denali Park area and Alaska. A crazy idea started by Kirk Markakis and Ric McMahan in 1998 has evolved into a fishery that you wouldn’t believe unless you saw it. Through controlling and limiting access, catch and release practices, habitat enhancement, feeding and a lot of luck, we have created a world class Trophy fishing experience that truly is a little “Disneyland”, but, man it is a lot of fun! With big beautiful Arctic Grayling and strong Rainbows, which some leap up to 6 times, how can you keep from smiling?
Handicap accessible.
Great for children and senior citizens.
A Don’t Miss Denali Park Activity!
